Privacy Policy

1. What Data We Collect

Account details: name, email, phone number, and company name, collected when you sign up. Email and phone are verified via a one-time code.

Production data you enter: daily reports, quantities, shift data, and machine downtime.

Business data you enter: orders, customer names, inventory items, raw materials, and stock movements.

AI interaction data: questions you ask the AI Copilot and the responses generated.

Usage data: which features you use and when (no third-party analytics currently).

2. How We Use Your Data

• To provide the Manufacturing BI Copilot service including production planning, order tracking, and inventory management;
• To generate AI production plans and insights using Anthropic Claude;
• To send account and security emails (OTP verification, password reset, billing notices);
• To improve platform reliability and fix issues.

3. AI Processing by a Third Party

Your production data is processed by Anthropic Claude to generate daily production plans, answer your factory questions, and surface operational insights. Your data is not used to train AI models. AI recommendations are based only on the data you have entered into the platform. When you ask a question in plain English, your question — along with a description of your data's structure and the business metrics involved, but not a bulk export of your raw records — is sent to Anthropic's Claude API to generate a response.

4. Data Isolation and Security

Every company's data is scoped by company ID at the application and database level — one customer's account can never read or write another's records. Passwords are hashed (never stored in plain text); sessions use random tokens with only their hash stored server-side; login is rate-limited and temporarily locks after repeated failures; email and phone are verified via one-time codes before an account can sign in. 5. Where Your Data Is Stored

Your factory data is stored in a managed PostgreSQL database hosted by Neon (neon.tech). Please check neon.tech for their current data center locations and compliance information.

6. Third-Party Services

• Anthropic — Powers AI production planning and the AI Copilot (Ask page). Your factory data is sent to Anthropic to generate insights and answer questions. Your data is not used to train AI models. See anthropic.com/legal/privacy.
• Resend — Sends email verification codes, password resets, and account notifications. See resend.com/legal/privacy-policy.
• Fast2SMS — Sends phone OTP verification messages to Indian mobile numbers. See fast2sms.com/privacy-policy.
• Vercel — Hosts the Manufacturing BI Copilot application. See vercel.com/legal/privacy-policy.
• Neon — Stores all your factory data in a managed PostgreSQL database. See neon.tech/privacy-policy.

7. Cookies

We use a single, essential, httpOnly session cookie to keep you signed in. We do not use advertising or cross-site tracking cookies. See our Cookie Policy.

8. Data Retention

Active accounts: data retained while active. After cancellation, we aim to delete inactive account data within 90 days. Database backups managed by our infrastructure provider may persist for an additional period beyond this.

9. Your Rights

You can request a copy of, correction to, or deletion of your account's data at any time by contacting us. We'll respond within a reasonable timeframe.

10. Children's Privacy

Manufacturing BI Copilot is a business tool for factory owners, managers, and supervisors. It is not designed for or directed at anyone under 18 years of age.

11. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Material changes will be reflected by updating the "Last updated" date above.
